SilverSneakersIgnite Fitness is pleased to offer the SilverSneakers Fitness Program. SilverSneakers offers an innovative blend of physical activity, healthy lifestyle and socially oriented programming that allows older adults to take greater control of their health.

The award-winning* SilverSneakers Fitness Program is a proven, results-oriented program that enables older adults, often burdened with chronic conditions, to take charge of their health and maintain an active, independent lifestyle.

In addition to the wonderful classes, you may be able to qualify for a free membership with SilverSneakers. Please contact your health insurance provider to see if they are a participant with this program.

Ignite Fitness currently offers:

Circuit
The SilverSneakers Circuit workout offers standing, low-impact choreography alternated with standing upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball. A chair is available for support. This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level and can be adapted depending on the skill of individual participants.

Classic
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscle strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated exercises and standing support. This class can be adapted by the student depending on their fitness level and abilities. It is suitable for beginning to intermediate skill levels.

Chair Yoga
Get ready to move through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered so you can perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level.

  • All classes are free to members unless noted otherwise. Non-member cost: $12/class; or $8 for seniors.
  • Please consult a physician before beginning any exercise program.
  • Please bring a change of sneakers for class. Wearing shoes in from outside will damage the floor.
  • All classes are subject to change without notice.
  • Late entry to class is not permitted for your safety.
  • Absolutely no cell phones.
